The Sterling at World Hotel Dreamland Resort

Located in Pecatu, Bali with a view of green rice fields and a stunning beach horizon, Sterling World Hotel will be developed as an escape space with an evocative space experience. This potential is being utilized by BGNR to realize a world-class resort with Bali as an Island in Indonesia known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches, and coral reefs. Architectural programs will be developed on a 2.3-hectare site with contours that will be processed to form a new leveling with a concept that emphasizes environmental balance that puts forward the balance between humans, nature, and the spiritual world. In general, Sterling is a combination of apartments and hotels with other comfort supporting facilities.

Building Footprint


The whole program will be divided based on three zoning layers which will indicate the division of private-public areas. The two-zone layers located at the top and bottom of the site are the private area, while the zone layer in the middle is the public area that connects the two private zone layers.

The first zone layer will be developed in the form of four apartment towers with five floors as a result of reading about the maximum building height rules in the local context. The second zone layer is a public area that will be filled with supporting facilities for resort facilities such as cafes, yoga areas, and swimming pools with a central core of fountain area. The last layer is filled with villas with a mass form that is intertwined with one another. It also provided with jogging track and bungee's car access around the area.
 
The process of developing zone layers has the main goal, namely infusing public programs into private programs. In its implementation, the use of barriers and regulation of human movement flow is one of the keys in order to achieve another space experience at the Sterling World Hotel.
